What is Spanish Town?
Spanish Town is part of the South Park neighborhood of Park Ridge that is (roughly) bounded by Talcott Road on the north, Vine Av. on the east, Granville Av. on the south, and Prospect Av. on the west.
This area is known as Spanish Town because of a remarkably high concentration of Spanish Colonial Revival homes that can be found there.

Naturally, some folks refer to this area as "California in Park Ridge." And for good reason: nowhere else in the Midwest can one find this type of collection of Mediterranean-style homes.
While all of these century-old homes are worthy of protection, we're aiming to protect five homes under Park Ridge's historical preservation code.
